Newly formed Norfolk Hares Goalball team took on a friendly match with Cambridge Dons at City College, Norwich recently. Goalball was devised in 1946 to help rehabilitate world war II veterans and has been a para olympic sport since 1976 exclusively for people with a visual impairment. The players wear black out googles to ensure fairness to all players, two bells inside the ball help them orientate where the ball is during the match as teams try and score a goal by rolling it towards the opposing side.
